Cultivating somatic capacity for presence and regulation.
This is Soma Vibrations
Soma Vibrations is centered on cultivating somatic capacity — not on inducing altered states.
Our work focuses on teaching the skills required to navigate discomfort, intensity, and change safely, consciously, and with choice. These skills are relevant whether altered states arise through everyday life, movement, sound, breath, or intentional medicine.
We offer psychoeducation, somatic skill-building, and integration support grounded in nervous-system literacy, trauma-informed practice, and ethical care. Experiences here are not about seeking peak states, but about developing the capacity to meet experience as it is — with presence, agency, and resilience.
Ketamine, when included, is approached as one context for practice, not the center of the work. Sound, movement, and breath are not performances or prescriptions, but tools for orientation, regulation, and embodied inquiry.
Integration is not an afterthought.
It is the curriculum.
Understanding Habitual Thought & Presence
Much of human suffering is not caused by events themselves, but by repetitive patterns of thought and interpretation. Neuroscience describes this activity as the Default Mode Network — a set of interconnected brain regions involved in self-referential thinking, memory, and mental narration.
This system plays an important role in reflection and identity. But when it becomes overactive, it can contribute to anxiety, depression, and rigid patterns of perception.
Research suggests that practices such as meditation, movement, overtone-rich sound, and — in some contexts — ketamine can temporarily soften activity in this network. When this occurs, attention may shift away from habitual story and toward present-moment experience.
This shift is not the goal in itself.
It is the practice field.
By cultivating somatic skills and nervous-system literacy, individuals learn how to meet these moments — whether subtle or intense — with orientation, choice, and agency. This is why Soma Vibrations centers education and integration rather than experience-seeking.
